Agency for Electronic Media organized and held, December 18-2015, a regional meeting of representatives of regulatory authorities on the subject of Reality programs in the region.  Representatives of regulators from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatian, Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia have presented the reality TV programs that were broadcasted in their countries, as they are categorized and what their audience was, with the presentation of the case of „pseudoreality“ broadcasted in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. Representatives especially took note of Big Brother, which was broadcasted in five countries in the region, with special attention to the application of regulation in the framework of national legislative practices. Participants of the meeting agreed to prepare recommendations and cooperation can improve the protection of minors from potentially inappropriate and harmful content. In addition, it is important to raise public awareness and education, not only of the media services, but also of those who produce and broadcast this type of media content. This meeting is a follow-up of exchange of practices with the support of the Council of Europe Improving freedom of expression and information and freedom of the media in South East Europe action, which was launched with the aim of intensifying cooperation between regulators in the region, in the field of protection of minors.
